Defenders stabilize situation near Vovchansk
Defenders partially managed to stabilize the situation near the city of Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. According to the spokesperson of the operational-strategic grouping of the «Khortytsia» troops, Nazar Voloshin, Ukrainian military continue to carry out combat missions within the urban area in the northern part, conducting clearance operations and keeping the enemy under fire control.
Over the past week, 83 attacks have been recorded on the Kharkiv direction, and in the last day — 11 combat clashes. Russian forces do not cease their attempts to break through the defense of Ukrainian units, especially in the areas of Vovchansk, Staritsa, Lypciv, and Zelene. Ukrainian defenders are actively operating on withdrawal directions and do not allow the enemy to establish themselves in residential areas.
The main efforts of the Russian forces are focused on the Strilecha — Lypciv direction and on the capture of Vovchansk, with further advancement to Bily Kolodyaz and deployment of an offensive in the rear of the Ukrainian forces, Voloshin added.
