President of NAEK «Energoatom» Petro Kotin, in a conversation, addressed the speculations of Russian representatives regarding the «origin» of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, emphasizing that it is a Ukrainian facility, built and operated exclusively by Ukrainian specialists using funds from the Ukrainian budget.
«The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has always been and remains a Ukrainian facility. Occupiers seized it by force, violating international norms and laws,» Kotin stressed.
He also warned other countries that cooperation with Russian «Rosatom» carries serious risks, including the threat of military aggression and blackmail.
«Ukraine has become a living example of the consequences of cooperation with an aggressor,» Kotin added.
