Zakarpattyaoblenergo Requests Settlement of Debt Issue
The energy supply company «Zakarpattyaoblenergo» has reached out to the appropriate authorities in hopes of resolving the ongoing debt owed by the state enterprise «Guaranteed Buyer» to universal service providers. Specifically, «Zakarpattyaoblenergo» is facing a significant debt of 1.7 billion UAH.
Natalia Nimets, the director of the company, has made it clear that multiple attempts have been made to address this issue, including offering solutions like offsetting debts. The substantial debt owed by the «Guaranteed Buyer» is severely impacting the company’s operations and its relationships with other entities within the market.
Nimets highlighted the fact that a vast majority (90%) of the consumers in the Zakarpattya region are individuals, further exacerbating the critical nature of the situation. She stressed that «Zakarpattyaoblenergo» is facing significant challenges due to the lack of available funds and the debts owed to other market participants.
Earlier, Oleg Popenko, the head of the Union of Consumers of Municipal Services, raised concerns about «Energoatom» once again accumulating debts for electricity provided to the population. The energy sector in Ukraine continues to face financial strain as these outstanding debts remain unresolved.
