From September, a single emergency call number 112 will start operating in Odesa, as reported by the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Expanding Coverage

According to the plan, by the end of the year, the 112 system will be expanded to cover the entire territory of Ukraine. Currently, it is functioning in the central and western macro regions, with the launch in Dnipro expected in May.

Accessible Assistance

Regardless of their location, citizens will be able to seek help by dialing the number 112. Calls to this number will be redirected to the relevant emergency services.

«People with hearing or speech impairments can also use the 112 line. To do this, you need to send a message to the number 112, after which a link to a video call with operators who know sign language will be provided,» clarified the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Existing Emergency Numbers

The emergency service numbers 101, 102, 103, and 104 will continue to operate even after the implementation of the new system in 2024.
