The Odessa Regional Council failed to hold its scheduled session on April 10th.

The only issue that was supposed to be discussed at the meeting was a request to the central government to appeal to the G7 countries to strengthen the region’s air defense, the «Dumskaya» correspondent reports.

The meeting, which was planned for 10:00, was canceled the day before.

According to sources, the reasons for the cancellation vary. One source claims that problems with the quorum were the reason: the head of the regional council, Hryhoriy Didenko, was unable to guarantee the presence of the required number of deputies. Another source believes that the session did not take place due to a lack of agreement on the text of the appeal with the Office of the President.

Another source notes that both factors could have interacted, leading to the cancellation of the meeting.
