Tragedy Strikes in Kharkiv
In the evening of April 24th, a man committed a horrific crime in Kharkiv, shooting his wife and daughter in their own home. The man, aged 53, has been charged with intentional murder related to domestic violence.
The family was no stranger to violence, often experiencing quarrels due to the man’s gambling addiction. After a heated argument over a loss, he fatally shot his wife and injured his daughter, who later succumbed to her injuries.
Fleeing the scene, the man was eventually apprehended by law enforcement on April 25th in the Sloboda district of Kharkiv. Currently, the possibility of pretrial detention is being considered. This is not the man’s first encounter with the law, as he had previously faced charges of domestic violence against his wife.
