Ukrainians Facing Increase in Utility Prices
Ukrainians are facing an increase in utility prices as local authorities have announced a rise in tariffs for centralized water supply and sewage services. The new tariffs were published on the official website of the city council of Zdolbuniv in Rivne region.
Reasons for Price Hike
According to representatives of the local water utility, the price hike is the result of various factors such as the increase in the cost of electricity, the rise in the minimum wage, and higher prices for fuel, reagents, and spare parts.
Changes for Household Consumers
It is worth noting that since 2022, the local water utility has revised tariffs several times for budgetary institutions and other consumers, but this did not apply to the general population. Now, in order to ensure the stable operation of the enterprise, it has become necessary to increase prices for household consumers as well.
Announced Price Changes
According to the announced changes, starting from June 1, 2024, the cost of centralized water supply for the population will be 25.68 hryvnias per cubic meter, while the cost of sewage services will increase to 51.67 hryvnias per cubic meter. Thus, the total cost of both services will amount to 77.35 hryvnias per cubic meter.
