Russian Occupants Attack Energy Sector in Ukraine

Russian occupants in Ukraine are once again attacking the energy sector, leading to power outages in some regions. Despite this, Ukrainians can still stay connected and online.

Stay Connected with National Roaming

To stay connected, Ukrainians are advised to use national roaming. Follow these steps:

  • Turn off network auto-selection: for Android — go to «Settings» -> «Mobile network» or «Connections» -> «Network operator»; for iOS — «Settings» -> «Cellular» -> «Networks».
  • Choose the available network: Vodafone UA, UA-KYIVSTAR, or LIFECELL.
  • If you are unable to register, try again or choose another network.
  • Check the possibility of outgoing calls and SMS.

Set Up Home Internet with xPON Technology

It is also possible to set up home internet, which will work without power for up to 72 hours thanks to xPON technology. Follow these steps:

  • Find the nearest provider with an xPON network and apply for connection. Collaborate with neighbors to expedite the process.
  • Purchase a power source for the WI-FI router with the necessary cable.

The situation with power in Ukraine continues to worsen as Russia destroys thermal generation. While restrictions on power for industry and business have been introduced, widespread power outages have not yet occurred.
