Power Outage Exemption for Enterprises Importing Electricity
Power outage schedules will no longer affect certain categories of enterprises, as announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a recent government meeting.
Currently, Ukraine is limited to importing 1.7 GW of electricity, but negotiations are underway to increase this amount to over 2 GW, a technically feasible goal.
«We are implementing a resolution that ensures fairness for electricity importers. As a result, enterprises importing 80% of their electricity consumption will be exempt from power outage schedules,» Shmyhal stated.
This exemption will enable these businesses to operate consistently and without interruption, while also helping to alleviate power shortages in the energy system. Ultimately, this initiative will contribute to brighter homes for all Ukrainians.
