The Donetsk region’s commitment to defense
The Donetsk region has allocated 1.6 billion hryvnias towards defense capabilities, as reported by Vadim Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration. This funding, sourced from the regional budget and communities, has been used to equip over 500 military defense facilities and continue construction of anti-explosive barriers and anti-tank ditches.
The administration, in collaboration with local authorities, also ensures a steady flow of funds for the procurement of drones, transportation vehicles, and other essential equipment for the armed forces.
