Russian Kamikaze Drones Strike Transformer Substation in Kharkiv
Russian kamikaze drones carried out a new strike on a transformer substation in Kharkiv overnight on April 4, which had already been damaged during an attack in March. This was reported by Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov during a national telethon.
Energy Crisis in Kharkiv
According to the mayor, the substation, which was hit again, was already out of order after a missile attack on March 22. Kharkiv critically lacks energy capacity due to previous attacks on infrastructure, with power outages in the city now lasting up to 6 hours. Energy workers are working on restoration, but not all problems have been resolved.
Hope for Stability
«Power outages continue, and the times of outages are increasing to 6 hours. Energy workers are doing everything they can, but not all problems can be quickly resolved,» the mayor said. He added that for full restoration of electricity supply, damaged transformers need to be replaced, which will take some time. The mayor expressed hope that «Ukrenergo» will take all necessary measures to stabilize the situation soon.
Recent Attacks in Kharkiv
On April 3, Zmiivska TPP was attacked again, and on April 4, Russian forces launched new missile strikes on Kharkiv and the region. This morning, the metro in the city is not working, and many areas are experiencing power and water shortages.
