Russian troops’ nighttime drone raid caused serious damage to electric networks in southern and central regions of Ukraine.
Ukrenergo Confirms Substation Damage
According to the National Energy Company «Ukrenergo,» one of their substations was damaged. As a result, houses and industrial consumers in the city of Kryvyi Rih were disconnected.
«Experts from Ukrenergo and the State Emergency Service are inspecting the equipment. Rescue work will begin immediately after the inspection is completed,» the press service noted.
Impact on Residents and Hospitals
According to the head of the Defense Council of Kryvyi Rih, Alexander Vilkul, about 100,000 subscribers in the Saksgansky, Dolgintsivsky, and Pokrovsky districts, including some hospitals, were left without power due to the attack.
By 7:00 am, power was restored for 60,000 subscribers, and all hospitals have electricity. The air defense shot down 3 enemy drones.
Successful Rescue Operation
Updated at 10:32. Vilkul announced that over a hundred miners who were trapped underground in two mines due to the «Shakhediv» attack had been successfully brought to the surface.
«All 113 miners are on the surface. We thank the rescue miners, the State Emergency Service, the management, and employees of KZHK and Arcelor,» he emphasized.
