Russian Forces Launch Missiles at Ukraine

Today, on July 8, Russian forces launched 38 missiles at the territory of Ukraine. Fortunately, the Ukrainian air defense unit was able to shoot down 30 of these missiles. The Russian army conducted a combined missile strike using various types of missiles from air, sea, and ground systems, as reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

Types of Missiles Used

According to preliminary data, the Russian forces utilized different types of missiles in this attack:

Cost of the Attack

Forbes estimates that the Russian Federation’s expenses on shelling Ukrainian territory amount to approximately $200-250 million. Additionally, the cost of the Ukrainian air defense system shooting down the missiles is estimated to be between $160-200 million.

Earlier reports mentioned that Russian forces targeted cities such as Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, and Pokrovsk. Shockingly, even the main children’s hospital in Ukraine, Okhmatdyt, was among the targets of this brutal attack.
