Preparing for Power Outages: Ukrainians Plan Ahead
After a harsh winter with frequent power outages and blackouts, most Ukrainians are preparing for a possible repeat of events. A new sociological survey has revealed that 54% of those polled plan to use individual energy storage devices in case of power outages, while 43% are planning to turn to alternative energy sources.
5% are considering the possibility of moving to other settlements in Ukraine, and 4% are thinking about leaving the country in case the situation worsens. To ensure access to electricity, Ukrainians plan to use various locations, including places of refuge (22%) and other public spaces (19%).
27% of those surveyed acknowledged the importance of having access to electricity for them, while 66% are confident that they can tolerate short-term power supply disruptions.
