Recent Mine Incidents in Kharkiv Region

A 64-year-old man sustained injuries from a mine explosion while fishing near a reservoir in the Chuguiv district, in the village of Martove, on April 14th. He was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

Additionally, on April 15th, in a field near the village of Yavorske, in the Balakliia community, a tractor driver ran over an unknown explosive object, which resulted in an explosion. The tractor was damaged, and the driver suffered minor injuries but refused hospitalization. The type of explosive device is being determined.

Local rescuers urge residents of the Kharkiv region to be extremely cautious and always remember the high mine danger. It is not recommended to walk in forests, fields, or near water bodies, as well as to travel on unknown dirt roads.

In case of detecting a suspicious object, it is necessary to inform the State Emergency Service or the police at the following numbers: 101, 102, or 112.
