Melania Trump Speaks Out Following Attempted Assassination of Donald Trump
Melania Trump has made a statement following a possible assassination attempt on her husband, Donald Trump, Sky News reports.
«When I saw the bullet hit my husband Donald, I realized that my life and the life of our son Barron were in danger,» she wrote, adding, «I am grateful to the brave Secret Service agents and law enforcement officers who risked their lives to protect him.»
«To the families of innocent victims who are now suffering from this terrible act, I express my deepest sympathy. Your need to gather strength for such a horrific cause saddens me,» continued the former First Lady.
«The monster who saw my husband only as a political machine tried to destroy in him his passion — humor, creativity, love for music, and inspiration. The essential aspects of my husband’s life — his human side — were saddened by the political machine,» she noted.
She referred to her husband as a «generous and caring person, with whom I have been through the best and worst of times.»
«Let’s not forget that different views, politics, and political games conflict with love. Our personal, professional, and life commitments — until death — are under serious threat,» she concluded.
