A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.6 has struck Japan
Reports from RBC-Ukraine, citing information from Kyodo News and Sky News, indicate concerns about a possible tsunami following the earthquake. Authorities in Japan are warning residents about the possibility of large waves along the coast of the Sea of Japan, particularly in the central prefecture of Ishikawa. The Japanese meteorological agency has issued a warning for the western coast of Honshu island, alerting to waves as high as 5 meters. Coastal areas of Yamagata, Niigata, Toyama, Fukui, and Hyogo prefectures are also being monitored closely.
