«Kharkivoblenergo» appeals to residents of Kharkiv

«Kharkivoblenergo» has appealed to the residents of Kharkiv with a request to understand the situation with electricity supply that has arisen in the past two weeks in Kharkiv and the region.

Damage to Electrical Equipment

Due to relentless shelling from Russia, electrical equipment has been damaged. Energy workers are forced to introduce restrictions and implement schedules of hourly power outages, as well as emergency shutdowns, to prevent major accidents and maintain the balance in the region’s energy system and the country as a whole. Priority is given to uninterrupted power supply to critical infrastructure and important city facilities.

Recent Attacks

On April 4 from 01:00 to 03:00, Russia launched a mass drone attack on Kharkiv and the region using «Shakhed» drones. Strikes were recorded on objects of the energy infrastructure, similar to March 22 when the city experienced a prolonged blackout. In addition, residential buildings, shops, pharmacies, and medical facilities were affected. As a result of the attacks, four people were killed, including three rescuers, and twelve others were injured.
