Knife Attack on Military Serviceman in Odesa
A man armed with a knife attacked an active military serviceman in the Hadybivskyi district of Odesa over his tattoo, which angered the attacker. The incident took place during a meeting at the intersection of Babel and Holovkivska streets.
The video of the incident was published on the Telegram channel of Odesa activist Demyan Ganul. The recording shows how the man accuses the military serviceman of being Russian-speaking and criticizes his tattoo. After a verbal altercation, the attacker struck the military serviceman in the face. He then pulled out a knife, but after realizing he was being filmed, he calmed down and put away the weapon.
According to the police, the man was arrested as he was heading to likely help a woman with her shopping. The video’s author captured him carrying bags, during which he also expressed his displeasure with loud cursing.
