Promoter Alexander Krasyuk on Wladimir Klitschko’s possible return to boxing
Promoter Alexander Krasyuk, representing Oleksandr Usyk, commented on the possible return of Wladimir Klitschko to professional boxing.
The official stated that the legendary Ukrainian is in perfect shape and can make a comeback to the ring. Krasyuk also noted that the only opponent through whom Wladimir could make a return is Tyson Fury, with whom Klitschko Jr. never got a rematch.
«Wladimir Klitschko is no longer a young man, but he is still in perfect shape. And he has enough fire in his heart to fight. But he has only one motivation. It is the same person who recently received a cut.
There is a matter we did not finish when he turned down the contracted rematch with Wladimir,» Krasyuk said during an Instagram livestream.
It is worth noting that Wladimir Klitschko lost to Tyson Fury in 2015 by judges’ decision. Their rematch was supposed to take place in June 2016, but it was postponed several times due to alleged injuries of the «Gypsy King.»
