The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Approves New Medical Armored Vehicle

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved for use in the Armed Forces a new medical armored vehicle, the Kozak-5MED. This transport can now be purchased with state budget funds for the medical needs of Ukrainian military personnel.

Features of Kozak-5MED

The Kozak-5MED is a modification of the basic armored vehicle «Kozak-5» by NVO «Practika». It can transport up to four wounded individuals lying down or up to six seated individuals, providing essential medical support. The medical version features an increased armored body and the lack of a second pair of side doors for enhanced protection.

Specifications

The Kozak-5MED is built on a Ford F-550 chassis with a powerful 330-horsepower engine and automatic transmission, ensuring reliable performance in various conditions. It offers ballistic protection against 7.62 mm caliber bullets and anti-mine protection that can withstand up to 6 kg of TNT equivalent detonated under the vehicle, ensuring the safety of those on board.
