The Cabinet of Ministers approves reducing State Tax Service workforce
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a decision to reduce the number of employees of the State Tax Service by 3,300 workers, which is 15% of the total workforce. This was announced by the head of the parliamentary committee on finance, tax and customs policy, Danylo Hetmantsev.
Tax benefits increase by 20.6 billion hryvnias in first half of 2024
In the first half of 2024, the volume of tax benefits increased by 20.6 billion hryvnias due to digitalization and the implementation of a risk-oriented approach in tax control. The reduction of employees will also lead to increased salaries for tax officials, a decision supported by Hetmantsev.
National Revenue Strategy to strengthen Tax Service
The chairman of the committee called on State Tax Service employees to fulfill their duties professionally and conscientiously to meet society’s expectations. He also expressed hope for the recruitment of talented young people and demobilized veterans to strengthen the tax service’s capacity. The National Revenue Strategy, approved by the Cabinet on December 27, 2023, focuses on honesty, increasing trust, improving risk management, and automating processes.
