Update on Recent Attacks in Donetsk Region
As of the morning of June 29, a total of 13 shelling attacks on residential areas in the Donetsk region were carried out by Russian forces. According to Vadim Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Regional Administration, these attacks resulted in 6 civilians being wounded and 4 civilians losing their lives.
Specific Incidents
On June 28, the village of New York was hit by enemy airstrikes, leading to the tragic deaths of 4 civilians and injuries to 5 others, including a young 8-year-old girl. In Zarechnoye, Pokrovsk district, one person was also injured.
In Kurakhivska community, a house in Kurakhivka was destroyed, while the outskirts of Maryinska, Ocheretinska, and Hrodivska communities were also targeted by shelling. Furthermore, in Kramatorsk district, a house in Podilsky Kostiantynivska community sustained damage once again.
In the Bakhmut district, the village of New York in Toretska community saw 5 houses damaged, and in Chasovoyarska community, a total of 12 private houses, 4 apartment buildings, and 2 non-residential buildings were affected. Additionally, in Siever, 1 house was completely destroyed and 2 others were damaged.
A total of 453 individuals, including 55 children, were successfully evacuated from the frontlines to safety. We continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as they become available.
