Curious Episode at Euro 2024: Turkey vs Portugal Match

On Saturday, June 22, a match between the national teams of Turkey and Portugal took place in Berlin at Euro 2024 in Group F, where the most curious episode of the tournament occurred.

In the 28th minute, the Portuguese launched a counterattack, after which the ball fell to Turkish defender Samet Akaydin.

The footballer, not noticing that his team’s goalkeeper Altay Bayindir had come out of the goal, passed the ball back, which unexpectedly rolled into the empty net.

This episode led to an increase in the score to 2:0 in favor of Portugal, which ultimately won with a score of 3:0.
