During the Russian attack on Ukrainian cities on May 30, the air defense forces were unable to destroy all enemy missiles due to a lack of means. This was reported by the spokesman of the Ukrainian Air Force, Ilya Yevlash, during a live broadcast of the telethon «One News».

«Last night, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups, and anti-aircraft missile troops destroyed 7 out of 11 missiles. Previously, we hit a higher percentage of targets,» Yevlash noted.

Yevlash attributed the partial failure to a shortage of air defense resources: «We are forced to maneuver with the available forces and means, as the enemy often attacks from different directions, using drones and missiles.»

It should be recalled that seven Russian «Shahed» drones were shot down over the Dnipropetrovsk region, but debris damaged a house and a power line.

In the night of May 29, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 14 «Shahed-131/136» drones, of which 13 were successfully destroyed.

More than a thousand people, including 200 children, were evacuated from the border areas of the Sumy region, as reported by the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh.
