The town of Chasovi Yar in the Donetsk region is practically destroyed, but 679 local residents refuse to leave the city. This was reported by the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Vadim Filashkin during a telethon.
Difficulties in delivering aid
According to him, due to shelling, the delivery of humanitarian aid has become extremely difficult: all roads to the city are blocked by the enemy. Therefore, the police, rescuers, and international partners can only deliver humanitarian and medical assistance to residents early in the morning or late in the evening.
Residents staying despite challenges
Vadim Filashkin noted that approximately a thousand people remain in the Krasnogorivska community and do not show a special desire to leave. However, all children from the front line have already been evacuated.
