Forest Fires in Lyman and Yampil Forestry
On the territory of the State Enterprise «Lyman Forestry» in one day, as a result of shelling from Russia, four fires occurred in the forest areas of the Lyman and Yampil forestry. This was reported by the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.
It is noted that the fires were discovered by local residents, who immediately called the rescue service. Operational information was received by the state forestry protection.
It was established that the fires were caused by shelling from Russia, which led to the ignition of pine forest litter.
The total area of fire-damaged areas is 50 hectares. 10 units of firefighting equipment have been involved in extinguishing the fires. 40 people, including 6 employees of the state forestry protection, were involved in extinguishing the fires.
