The project «Therapy through Hiking» for veterans and their families will start in Lviv region from May 23, as reported by the Lviv Regional Administration.
Organizing hiking trips
The project includes organizing hiking trips around Lviv region for the military personnel and their families who are undergoing rehabilitation or rotation in the region.
Expansion of activities
«Last year we successfully organized three trips to the highest peaks of Lviv region and received positive feedback, so this year we are expanding the project’s format. During the summer tourist season, we plan to conduct various activities, including horseback riding, climbing mountain peaks, rafting, and cultural and educational excursions,» said Taras Lozynsky, the head of the Tourism and Resorts Department of Lviv Regional Administration.
Free events
All events for the military personnel and their families are free of charge and include transfers, meals, entrance tickets, guided tours, equipment rental, and entertainment programs.
Duration of the project
The project will last until the end of September, with a total of 20 events planned.
