A Fire Breaks Out in Historic Building in Odessa

A fire broke out on Wednesday morning, April 27th, in Odessa on Derybasivska Street in a historical building that is an architectural landmark. The fire originated in an apartment in the ancient revenue house of S. Ralli, known for its architectural value.

According to rescuers, the fire quickly spread between the floors and walls. It took about two hours of intensive work to extinguish the fire. After that, rescuers continued dismantling the structures and pouring water to finally eliminate the fire.

Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire. 13 units of equipment and 50 firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire. Currently, an investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, assess the damages, and clarify all the details of the incident.

The S. Ralli building, where the fire occurred, is an important part of Odessa’s historical heritage, emphasizing its special value in terms of architecture and urban planning.
