Kiev’s Freedom Arch to Remain in Place: City Administration’s Response

In response to a request from «BBC News Ukraine»:

The Kyiv City State Administration confirmed that they do not plan to dismantle the Arch of Freedom of the Ukrainian people, formerly known as the Arch of Friendship of Nations. It is considered a monument of local historical significance, which is prohibited by law from being altered or moved.

However, according to the BBC report, the authorities intend to remove the sculptural composition dedicated to the Pereyaslav Rada of 1654, which is part of the arch.
