Ukraine Condemns Iran’s Mass Attack on Israel
Ukraine has condemned the mass attack by Iran against Israel, stating that Tehran’s actions carry the risk of escalating the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, referring to a statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. «Such actions are absolutely unacceptable, irresponsible, and carry the risk of unprecedented further escalation of the situation in the Middle East,» the statement said. Ukraine believes that efforts must be made to prevent the confrontation from escalating into a larger regional conflict. «This attack once again demonstrates the importance of mobilizing all forces of the free world to defend the global borders of democracy,» the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Iran’s Attack on Israel
Iran attacked Israel overnight on April 14. The attack lasted about 5 hours. Part of the drones and rockets were launched from Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen. The United States, Britain, and Jordan assisted in repelling the attack. It is known that Israel was attacked by about 300 drones and rockets. The Israeli army stated that most of the aerial targets were shot down. Iran claimed that the attack on Israel was «completed» and that the targets had allegedly been reached. As of the morning, 31 casualties in Israel were reported. The US and the UN Secretary-General condemned Iran’s attack, and US President Joe Biden stated that the G7 would discuss a possible response.
