In February, the National Bank of Ukraine reduced net currency sales by 40%. The amount of currency sold in February is the lowest since April of last year, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
February 2024: NBU’s Currency Sales Decrease by 40%
In February 2024, the National Bank of Ukraine reduced net currency sales by 40% compared to January. This is evidenced by the data published by the NBU.
NBU’s Currency Transactions in February
In particular, in February, the NBU bought $0.032 billion on the interbank market and sold $1.541 billion. In January, the corresponding figures were $0.016 billion and $2.549 billion, respectively. The amount of currency sold in February is the lowest since April of last year.
NBU Sets Exchange Rate
Today, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar at 38.04 UAH. Compared to the previous banking day, the rate has increased by 16 kopecks.
