An underground department for surgery, examinations, and patient diagnostics is being constructed at the Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital of Intensive Care.
This was reported by the Pokrovsk City Military Administration.
The «hospital underground» is being equipped on the ground floor of the perinatal center.
According to the director of the Pokrovsk Clinical Hospital, Yuriy Borodin, this premises was previously planned to be converted into an infectious diseases department.
In the bunker, two operating rooms, intensive care and intensive therapy units, X-ray and computer tomography rooms will be housed, as reported on the city administration’s website.
The premises will require air purification, humidification, and conditioning. Therefore, powerful ventilation, autonomous electricity, and water supply will be installed.
