Ukrainian singer Tonya Matviyenko recently discussed her relationship with Ukrainian artist Arsen Mirzoyan in an interview for Oboz.ua. During the interview, she talked about presenting a cover of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk’s song ‘Druh’ (Friend) and whether it was dedicated to Arsen or not.
Matviyenko clarified that she did not dedicate the song to anyone specifically and emphasized that Arsen is not just a friend but her beloved husband. She explained that the song is about not being able to be in a relationship with a friend due to unspoken feelings, something she has not experienced in real life.
During an interview on «Nashe Radio,» the singer revealed how a classmate, who secretly loved her, introduced her to his friend, whom she eventually married. Reflecting on this experience, Tonya Matviyenko expressed her disappointment at not being told about the feelings earlier, stating that it led to the loss of both love and friendship.
