Local Resident Found Guilty of Theft and Fraud
A local resident was found guilty of theft and fraud by the prosecutor of the Dubno District Prosecutor’s Office at a court session on May 29, 2024, as reported by the press service of the Rivne region prosecutor’s office.
Online Fraud Scheme Exposed
The court established that a 42-year-old man, previously convicted of property crimes, was involved in online fraud. He would post ads for non-existent clothing and footwear for sale on online trading platforms. After receiving an advance payment to his bank card, he would block the clients, deceiving a total of 8 individuals.
Punishment and Plea
The court decided to punish the perpetrator with five years of imprisonment. The man pleaded guilty in full.
