Scientists Discover Unusual Exoplanet TOI-6713.01

Scientists have discovered an unusual exoplanet TOI-6713.01, located 66 light-years from the Sun. This planet, nearly the same size as Earth, has unique characteristics reminiscent of Jupiter’s volcanic moon Io, but with even more extreme activity.

Due to its proximity to the star, the planet with an incredible number of active volcanoes heats up to more than 2300°C. Scientists believe that this extraordinary volcanic activity is caused by the gravitational influence of neighboring massive objects in the HD 104 067 star system, creating constant tidal deformations and magma flows on the planet’s surface.

TOI-6713.01 could be a key to understanding extreme geological processes and planetary interactions in space, as well as help scientists better understand the potential for life in extremely hostile conditions.
